Frequently Asked Questions
Is IC Timer really free?
Yes. IC Timer is a free tool from iChurch Initiative. There is no paid tier and no credit card required.
Do speakers or displays need to log in?
No. Only the person creating and operating the event needs an account. The stage display, speaker view
and agenda are all read-only public links — no login required.
What's the difference between Automatic and Manual mode?
Automatic mode runs entirely from your schedule's clock times, moving from item to item on its own.
Manual mode lets an operator press START and NEXT, so the programme is a plan the operator follows —
overtime is shown but the show never advances until you say so.
What happens when an item runs out of time?
The display shows the elapsed overtime as a negative countdown (e.g. -00:01, -00:02) and an unmistakable
"TIME UP" indicator, so everyone on stage can see it clearly — nothing is hidden or cut off.
Can multiple screens follow the same event?
Yes — a TV, a tablet on the altar, and the speaker's phone can all display the same event at once,
kept in sync automatically.
How do I connect a screen without typing a long link?
Visit /pair on that screen and enter the 6-character pairing code shown in your control room.
Is my schedule data private?
Yes. Only you can create, edit or operate your events. Public links use a long random token, not a
guessable event ID, and you can rotate that link at any time.
